On May 1,1970, the hotel restaurant Le Fruitier opened its doors.
After many evolutions, it now has 35 employees.

In the kitchen, a whole team is active around chef Stéphane Lebargy and his right-hand man Christopher.

The customer can bring in the establishment of unknown third parties without the report. Similarly, the client can rent the accommodation for a number of people greater than that provided by the regulations.

Regarding your towels, we invite you to reuse your laundry for short stays. Otherwise we thank you to leave on the floor or in the bathtub only the towels you want to see renewed. Any towels remaining on the hook or sink will not be replaced during daily cleaning.

Our TVs do not remain in standby. In order to turn on the TV, press the power button on the right side of the TV (the 1st from the bottom).

The bedroom doors are equipped with electronic locks. Simply pass your card over the door handle. A small "beep" and a green light signal the opening of the door.
The rooms are powered by an electric current of 220 volts. We advise you to check the voltage of your devices before plugging them in.

All our rooms are equipped with thermostats, located at human height. If you want to increase the temperature of your room, turn the thermostat. A small "click" signals that the heating is turning on.
The rooms on the 3rd floor (mezzanines only) have air conditioning. They are parameterized by a common box in reception. You can control, from your room, the air conditioning thanks to the box provided for this purpose. You can adjust the intensity, orientation and temperature of the air.

The Chef
Stéphane Lebargy, a native of Villedieu-les-Poêles, our chef, trained as a cook at Ciro's Deauville and then at the Casino de Deauville (Lucien Barrière Group) between 1994 and 1996.
At the end of 1996, he joined the prestigious Maison Blanche des Frères Pourcel, located in Paris VIIIth, then the Lucien Barrière Group, in La Baule, where he continued to improve, and arrived at The Fruitier in 1997…

Restored to its former glory after the Second World War, the Saint-Lô national stud farm is one of the largest in France and offers guided tours for visitors. During the “Jeudis du Haras” Thursday open days, from the end of July to September, stallions are presented to visitors.

Once passed the fortified gates marking the entrance to the village, walkers and pilgrims discover at first the Grande-Rue high street, its old granite residences, its museums and its souvenirs shops. In this lively street, the Mère Poulard restaurant is a well-known place renowned for its omelettes. After climbing the hillside of Grande-Rue as well as the Grand Degré stair leading to the sanctuary, the visit of the abbey can commence.
Dominated by the tower of its abbey church, the Benedictine abbey of the Mont-Saint-Michel offers a magnificent variety of architecture ranging from the 11th to the 16th century. The 11th-century Romanesque abbey church; the monks' covered walkway; the Merveille, a set of six rooms on three levels that are the refectory, the Hosts room, the aumônerie, the cloister, the Knights room and the cellar, all constituting a remarkable example of religious art.
After the visit, a stroll on the rampart walk (chemin de ronde) situated at the foot of the abbey is imperative. From there, the view of the residences of the medieval town and the bay is splendid.
Perched on a hill above Varenne valley is the fortified medieval town of Domfront, founded in the 11th century. It has preserved many reminders of its rich past, making it a delightful place for a stroll: charming squares and narrow streets, a 12th-century Romanesque keep, remains of the old feudal castle, rampart towers, and picturesque half-timbered houses, mansions and interior courtyards. There is also a stunning view across the surrounding hedged farmland from Place du Panorama and the castle garden.
At the foot of the town, on the banks of the Varenne, stands the 11th- and 12th-century Notre-Dame-sur-l'Eau church, a superb example of Norman Romanesque art.
The hedged farmland around Domfront has been awarded the Site Remarquable du Goût (site of culinary excellence) label and is a must-visit area for its two specialities, perry and calvados – alcoholic drinks made using locally-grown pears and apples.
Not far from Dol-de-Bretagne, the village of Mont-Dol is situated at the foot of the mount of the same name, which reaches its peak at 65 metres. The peak of the Mont-Dol offers a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and in particular on the Mont-Saint-Michel bay. A windmill, a chapel and a tower can also be discovered up there.
Caen City harbor with its center in Caen Castle, a building erected around 1060 by William the Conqueror. The building is located on a hill flanked by the Romanesque abbey of St. Stephen and Holy Trinity dating from the same era.
