Dear Guests,

We wish you a pleasant stay and we thank you for choosing us.

So that you can all live in good conviviality and that your cure takes place in the best atmosphere possible; we invite you to respect some basic measures of cohabitation.

For the rest of each of you, avoid the noise especially between 10pm and 8am. For the rest of the day, please moderate the sound of your TV or other device with a speaker.

During your awakening phase, no sleep can be.

The laundry room, equipped with a washing machine and a dryer, is at the gracious disposition of each of you, make sure to leave it in the state in which you would like to find it.

Once your laundry is washed, do not forget it. A clothesline is in the garden, behind the pool, think about your clothespins.

The same is true for the vacuum cleaner, do not forget to put it back in its place for the following ones.

The spaces are common to all: We thank you for helping us to keep them clean and pleasant, for you, for others.

You get friends, we are delighted: make sure they do not slam the door and respect the comfort of others.

Article 1 : Bathing times

  • The pool area is open every day between 15 April and 15 October ( + or -15 days depending on weather conditions) from 10 am to 8 pm.
  • Access is reserved exclusively for owners, residents and guests.

Article 2 : Liability

  • Any user is responsible for the damage caused by him, including in the swimming pool.
  • Prohibition of spitting / urinating in and around the swimming pool.
  • The pool area must remain a family place ; noisy, violent games, running, diving are forbidden.
  • Prohibition of throwing stones, pieces of wood or any object likely to hurt someone and / or damage the pool area.
  • The garden furniture available around the swimming pool is under the responsibility of the users who will have to take all measures and precautions in order to keep it in good condition.
  • Smoking is prohibited in the pool area

Article 3 : Access to buildings is prohibited :

  • To animals
  • To persons in a state of intoxication or abnormal agitation, under the influence of psychotropic substances to persons affected or suspected of contagious diseases (Circular of 13 March 1975 of the Ministry of Public Health), to persons in a state of uncleanliness obvious to children under 16 years of age who are not accompanied by a person of age who is able to supervise them

Article 4 : Thank you for not entering the pool immediately after you are coated with sun cream / oil.

  • The laundry used in the bath should not be spun in the pool. Equip young children with special swimming pool layers (not provided).
  • Access is forbidden for people not wearing a classic and clean swimsuit. Swim shorts forbidden. Prohibited nudity

Article 5 : The pool area is unguarded,

  • Minors remain under the responsibility of their parents or legal guardian.
  • Children who do not know how to swim should wear safety equipment such as armbands or buoys (not supplied).
  • People who do not know how to swim will not go to areas where they do not have feet.

Fontgombault abbey, founded in the 11th century, nestles in a lush, green setting at the edge of the Creuse river and is home to a community of Benedictine monks. Its impressive abbey church is a wonderful example of Romanesque architecture and boasts a magnificent chevet with five apsidioles and a round-arched portal.

Situated in the Manu, the town's former weapon factory, the Auto Moto Vélo museum traces the history of cars, motorbikes and bicycles through an exhibition of vehicles and other objects.

The Renaissance Château d'Azay-le-Ferron, situated on the border of La Brenne and La Touraine and built from the 15th to the 18th centuries, comprises four separate sections: Frotier tower and the Humières, Francis I and Breteuil wings. Visitors can take a tour of the 18 furnished rooms featuring sumptuous collections of furniture, tapestry, paintings and objets d'art.

Nicknamed the "Romanesque Sistine Chapel", the abbey church of Saint-Savin-sur-Gartempe is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is unusual in that it is home to the biggest and most beautiful set of Romanesque frescoes in France. These magnificent murals of the 11th and 12th centuries, which notably decorate the vault of the nave, are a delight for the eyes.

An exhibition housed in the former monk cells tells visitors all about the abbey and its famous frescoes.

Fans of murals can extend the visit by taking the Valley of the Frescoes (Vallée des Fresques) discovery itinerary, which passes through Montmorillon, Jouhet and Antigny.

Medieval town with five castles

Dominating the Vienne valley, the medieval town of Chauvigny is popular with visitors because of its rich architectural heritage. A lovely place for a stroll, the upper town consists of charming narrow streets and beautiful buildings that are reminders of centuries past, including the magnificent 12th-century Romanesque collegiate church with magnificent carved capitals, and five fortified castles: the Château Baronnial, Château d'Harcourt, Donjon de Gouzon, Tour de Flins and Château de Montléon.

Near Saint-Pierre collegiate church, the museum of popular traditions and archaeology is home to a collection of archaeological objects, a reconstruction of a Poitou interior, as well as an exhibition of antique objects, headwear and clothes. It also has a section devoted to old trades.

The Espace d'Archéologie Industrielle, housed in the Gouzon keep, is a museum dedicated to the history of the Pays Chauvinois area's industrial heritage. At the top of the keep is a magnificent panoramic view over the rooftops of the medieval town and the surrounding countryside.

From mid-March to mid-November, a free-flying bird show named "The Giants of the Sky" is put on at the Château Baronnial.

Built in the 15th, 16th and 18th centuries, the Château de Clairvaux in Scorbé-Clairvaux is home to the international chess museum which has a collection of no fewer than 160 chessboards from over 70 countries!

Awash with ponds and lakes

The wild countryside of La Brenne Regional Nature Park, which covers 166,000 hectares, is dotted with over 2,000 lakes and ponds and a paradise for flora and fauna, especially migratory birds that stop there to reproduce. A dream destination for botany and ornithology fans, this haven of peace strewn with lakes and ponds, marshland, reed beds, moors, prairies and woods is home to no fewer than 2,300 animal and 1,200 plant species! Among its most emblematic are European pond turtles, purple herons, orchids, black-necked grebes, ducks, Eurasian bitterns and dragonflies.

To discover the rich biodiversity of this magnificent area of calm and serenity, visitors can take a number of discovery trails dotted with information panels, including the Sentier du Blizon (in Rosnay) and the Sentier de Beauregard (in Saint-Michel-en-Brenne), and peacefully admire the birds from hides in Chérine nature reserve, and at Foucault, Bellebouche and Massé lakes.

The 160-hectare Mer Rouge lake is the biggest in the park, while Bellebouche lake has a water sports centre and a great sand beach to relax on.

La Benne heritage museum (Ecomusée de la Brenne), housed in Château Naillac in Le Blanc, teaches visitors about the history of La Brenne from prehistoric times to today.

Also not to be missed are the Maison de la Nature et de la Réserve in Saint-Michel-en-Brenne for its exhibition on La Brenne's natural heritage, and the park visitor centre (Maison du Parc) in the hamlet of Le Bouchet in Rosnay, which puts on exhibitions and a slide show about La Brenne, as well as offering tastings of local produce.

The village of Civaux, near Lussac-les-Châteaux, possesses a Merovingian cemetery which is home to 350 sarcophaguses. The cemetery also has fence made using sarcophagus lids.

A medieval citadel with a rich architectural heritage

Dominated by the outline of the Logis Royal castle and its Agnès Sorel tower, the medieval citadel of Loches boasts a beautiful architectural heritage on the edge of the Indre River. The Logis Royal is an outstanding example of Renaissance architecture. Its history was marked by three women: Joan of Arc, Agnès Sorel and Anne of Brittany. After visiting the castle, a walk around this Town of Art and History is essential – to see the Romanesque collegiate church where Agnès Sorel's grave is, various fortified gates, the Renaissance town hall, the 36-m high Romanesque keep, the Maison Lansyer where numerous works by the painter Emmanuel Lansyer are on display, the shopping streets and all the old houses.

Montmorillon, known as the "City of Writing and Book Professions", is a charming town pleasantly located on both sides of the River Gartempe. It is a popular destination thanks to its pretty river banks, Gothic bridge, old houses, monuments like the 12th-century Octagon and Notre-Dame church with its Sainte-Catherine crypt which contains magnificent frescoes, and the medieval district of Brouard where bookshops and craft workshops abound.

The town hosts a book fair every June on even years, and a writing and image fair in the same month in odd years.

Palluau-sur-Indre is a charming village of old houses situated on a steep slope in the Indre valley and dominated by a fine feudal castle.

The old priory of Saint-Laurent is home to some particularly superb Romanesque frescoes, including one of the Virgin in Majesty and one of Christ in Majesty.

Former capital of Poitou, the city of Poitiers possesses a rich architectural and religious heritage. Key monument of the historic centre, the Notre-Dame-la-Grande church of the 11th and 12th centuries constitutes a remarkable example of Romanesque art, with its magnificent carved facade dating from the 12th century. Every evening in the summer and during the Christmas holidays, a magnificent light show named Polychromies, restores the bright colours that used to decorate the sculptures on the facade of the church. The visit of Poitiers continues with the imposing Saint-Pierre cathedral, a Gothic building of the 12th and 13th centuries; the Saint-Jean baptistery, one of the most ancient Christian buildings in France; the Palais de Justice (law courts), former palace of the counts of Poitou and the dukes of Aquitaine.

Besides its prestigious monuments, Poitiers abounds with charming narrow streets and lively squares where it is lovely to wander around and pause at one of the numerous cafe and restaurant terraces. The Cardinal's home town

Created in the 17th century for Cardinal Richelieu, the town of Richelieu is a remarkable example of classical town planning. Not to be missed: the high street and its 28 mansions, the old covered market halls, the Art and History Museum exhibiting souvenirs of the cardinal, furniture and tapestries, the monumental gates, ramparts and moats, plus the pleasant wooded park featuring a beautiful rose garden.

Every other year, the Cape and Sword festival brings the streets of the Cardinal's town to life with horsemen, singers, actors and musicians in period costumes, recreating a 17th-century atmosphere.

Fans of built heritage fall immediately under the spell of the tiny village of Château-Guillaume, which nestles in the heart of the small and peaceful Allemette valley near Lignac.

Departures take place on Saturday morning from 8 : 00 to 10 : 00 (at the latest)

In order to organize your departure in the best conditions, we kindly ask you to make an appointment with the reception no later than Thursday before your departure to inform us of the time of your departure.

In case of early departure and if the departure is outside reception opening hours, the deposit check will be retained and we will draw up a status report with the balance to be paid to us.

The deposit check will be returned to you after the inventory of the accommodation following your exit and the invoice of your paid stay will be sent to you by email the same day.

Please make sure that :

The fridge is defrosted, cleaned and disinfected

The accommodation is clean as you found it when you arrived

Do not remake the used beds (no need to wash the alèzes, the mops and bath mats nor the sheets), put everything in the bathroom

We reserve the right to apply the rate of a cleaning fee if the cleaning at the time of the exit was not correctly carried out.

Attention to stained linen !!!

We ask that the linen is not bent during your departure.

If during your stay you are washing clothes, please inform us without delay, we will advise you in order to avoid a cleaning fee.

Ex : towels used to remove make-up or to clean his shoes will be systematically invoiced.
