Castle Clervaux (in Luxembourg: Schlass Klierf and German Schloss Clerf) is a castle which dates from the twelfth century and which overlooks the eponymous medieval village in the middle of the Ardennes landscape. In 1944, during the Ardennes offensive, the castle suffered extensive damage after the bombing by German troops. Reduced to a state of ruin, the state bought the castle and Restores who helps regain its splendor.
Today, the municipal administration, as well as models of castles Museum of Luxembourg and the Battle of the Bulge Museum are located in the castle. It is in one of its wings that is besides the famous photographic collection by Edward Steichen, "The Family of Man".
